May 2004 UHF Contest
I was not able to spend as much time active in this contest as last year. Conditions were generally average, with some good spells on 70cm on Sunday, when OL4A peaked 579. Results on 13cm were disappointing, with DL3YEE a getaway this time due to final rogers missing, but I was able to work GD for only the second time on this band. Two new squares on 9cm (IO80 and IO83) were very welcome, thanks to G4RFR/P amd G3PHO/P. A lack of rainscatter limited results on 3cm, a long test with GD0EMG (thanks for your patience!) resulted in signals being heard both ways but not enough for a QSO. Considering the tree blockage here in that direction it is surprising any signals were heard at all, so tropo conditions must have been above average. Results are summarised in the table below:
