PHHRA Repeater Details

Both PHHRA Yeasu DR1-X System Fusion repeaters are on the air!!!

The frequencies are 146.790- & 443.250+.

No access code is required for either machine.

Both are running full auto RX & TX, so they can operate any C4FM digital or analog mode.

Full IDer messages are:
146.790 "DE K0PHH/R"
443.250 "DE K0PHH/R-K"

We wanted to make the IDers easy to distinguish, hence the "K" on the 443.250.
The IDer does not allow spaces, so we had to use the "-" to separate the "K" from the call sign.

If you are scanning and hear the I.D. end with "R", you will know it's the 146.790
and
If the I.D. ends with "K", you will know it's the 443.250.

Both of these repeaters are part of the "LONG TONE ZERO" 'LiTZ' priority alert system. . .

ANY STATION WITH URGENT OR EMERGENCY TRAFFIC OR IN NEED OF URGENT OR EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE CAN ACTIVATE THE 'LiTZ' SYSTEM BY TRANSMITTING THE DTMF "0" FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 SECONDS, FOLLOWED BY THE TRAFFIC OR THE ASSISTANCE THAT IS NEEDED... THIS MAY RANGE FROM - BEING IN NEED OF TRAVELERS' DIRECTIONS - TO - REPORTING A TORNADO OR AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT, HAVING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY OR AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT, OR HAVING YOUR AUTOMOBILE BREAKING DOWN OR BEING STUCK IN MUD OR SNOW.

PRIOR TO ACTIVATING LiTZ, MAKE A GENERAL CALL FOR ANY MONITORING STATIONS...

ONLY ACTIVATE LiTZ IF THERE IS NO RESPONSE TO YOUR CALL...
SOME STATIONS MAY NOT HEAR YOU, WHILE OTHERS MAY BE SCANNING...
THIS IS THE PURPOSE OF TRANSMITTING THE TONE...
THE TONE BOTH LOCKS SCANNING RADIOS ON FREQUENCY AND ALERTS MONITORING HAMS OF A "LiTZ" ACTIVATION; WORKING THE SAME WAY AS A NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR FIRST RESPONDER EMERGENCY PAGER...

SUGGESTED TONE LENGTHS VARY FROM 3 TO 8 SECONDS...

After doing some tests, we determined that 5 seconds is long enough to lock even the slow scanners on frequency and alert monitoring hams. Shorter will be missed. While longer can use up the scan lock time, causing the radio to go back to scanning.

BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 2200 - 0700 CENTRAL TIME, ONLY "LiTZ" ACTIVATIONS FOR THE SAFETY & / OR PROTECTION OF PERSONS & / OR PROPERTY ARE ALLOWED...
ALL "LiTZ" ACTIVATIONS ARE ALLOWED BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 0700 - 2200 CENTRAL TIME...

ALL STATIONS, ON FREQUENCY, ARE REQUIRED TO RESPOND TO ALL "LiTZ" ACTIVATIONS...

MONTHLY "LiTZ" DRILLS WILL BE HELD ON THE FIRST MONDAY OF THE MONTH, BETWEEN 1900 - 2100 CENTRAL...
ANY CHANGE OF DATE OR TIME WILL BE POSTED HERE...

Complete "LiTZ" Guidelines can be found in the front of the ARRL Repeater Directory...

I was not able to find the same information on the Internet...
However, I emailed the ARRL & asked if they had the information posted, if not do they plan on adding it.

When I get more info I will post it.

Here is a map I made of all of the (known) ND repeaters. This is NOT, by any means, location accurate. It is simply a general marker of repeater locations, broken up by band.
