Welcome to Bob's Central Carolina Weather page. This page contains
information and links pertaining to Meteorology and amateur radio. My call
sign is WX4MMM and I monitor most Raleigh
area 2 meter repeaters. My weather observing station location
is in Northwestern Wake County near Highway 98 and Highway 50. I have been
continuously recording climatic data since September
1985, including daily maximun/minimun temperatures, precipitation, barometric
pressure, dew point, wind direction and wind speed. I attended NC
State and have a BS and MS in Meteorology
and a member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS),
National Weather Association (NWA),
Atlantic Coast Observer Network (ACON),
Raleigh Amateur Radio Society (RARS),
Johnston County Amateur Radio Society (JARS),

WEATHER SUMMARY FOR DECEMBER 2000-
NW WAKE COUNTY: An unusually cold December with the average
daily temperature 7.2 degrees below normal. Along with the
cold temperatures, precipitation was 1.36" below normal. In fact since
October, precipitation has been 4.85" below normal. A major snow
event threatened the area on December 3rd, however this QTH recorded
just a trace of snow.
