Welcome to the

CritterFox Farm Light Railway

CFFLR

Spring, 2003: the beginnings of our empire...

Here is Lovely Wife Nancy inspecting the construction...

Nancy surprised me with a genuine PRR caboose lantern...

All of this track is gauge 1 AristoCraft brass code 332 rail.

I plan to replace it with hand laid aluminum code 250.

My goal is to model a 7/8n2 scale agricultural/industrial railway.

Kettle's On The Boil: Live Steam...

Ruby has arrived and will be bashed into a 7/8n2 machine...

Presenting the new Shay live steamer...

She will be named DORIS in honor of my late Mother-In-Law whom I never had the opportunity to meet.  She began life as an Accucraft Michigan/California 2-cylinder Shay.

Below is my first attempt at a loco Critter. This uses the motor block from a 2-4-2 New Bright engine. I have added radio control from an inexpensive R/C truck. The plastic wheels have been replaced with steel ones from Sierra Valley Products. Power is a 6-cell AA NiCAD battery pack. Uncle Chess, the engineer, is from Daisey Beach Miniatures in Canada, and Fester in the background was freed from a local Hobby Lobby store.

Click here to download a .pdf file of printable scale rulers.

Open the file, print it 1:1, cut out the rule you need

and then cement it around some 1/16" thick material.

To verify that you printed it 1:1, measure the over all

length of the 1:13.7 rule. It should be 5.25".

Click here to download a .pdf file of printable egg shipping boxes.

These are scaled at 1:13.7.

Current projects include a Maine Narrow Gauge Caboose from scratch...

This is a design by Steve King of 7/8n2 fame.

And a Big Critter from a Jim Massfeller kit...

Oh Tannenbaum...

Stay tuned for further details...
