The QRC-222 is a QRP transceiver system designed in the early '60's
at ROME Air Development Center under a directive called the (QRC) Quick
Reactions Capabilities Program - (circa 1952-1964). Created to procure
quickly limited quantities of new equipment to counter new enemy electronic
threats as they were discovered. Usually a QRC program would provide engineering
prototypes or a few production models of an equipment, plus sufficient
spares parts for a years operation. In a few cases, however as many as
100 examples of a specific equipment might be built.
