My 4 Element Cubical Quad |
My home is near Sandy, Oregon. I am married and my wife's name is Doris. We have two daughter's , Barbara and Cheryl, whom are both married. And, we have five grand-daughters. My interest's are mainly in Amateur Radio, I like the I.O.T.A. Program and the W.A.B.A. Antarctic Program. I have one acre of land on the edge of the wilderness and it is an excellent QTH for Amateur Radio; Also an excellent place to retire. |
I have earned the IOTA Plaque of Excellence from the RSGB in England and the Top Honor Roll W.A.B.A. Antarctic Award Plaque from the Diamond DX Club in Italy. Also, the Holy Land Award Plaque from Israel. My transmitter is a TS-940S-AT Kenwood, which I like very much. And, my amplifier is a 4K Ultra by Henry Radio using a 3CX1500/A7 Ceramic Triode Tube. Also, I designed my own antenna, which is a 4 Element Cubical Quad in 1992. The Quad has 10 , 15 and 20 Meter loops ; And the side rejection is excellent with great front to back and lots of forward gain . I have built two computers and I taught myself how to use them; Also, I enjoy them very much. My logging program is DXbase 2001 and I think that it is an excellent logging program. Enjoy Amateur Radio and Best Wishes ! 73 de N7TZ |
