The ViewPort VGA was introduced in the August 1992 73 Amateur Radio Magazine by John Montalbano, KA 2 PYJ.
The demodulator converts the FM-modulated slow-scan audio into an amplitude-modulated signal, which again is brought on digital form through an A/D converter an led to the PC-printer port.
The modulator never requires adjustment as it is based on a circuit controlled by a 4MHz xtal with presetable count-down ICs. The counters are preset by an 8 bit value arriving from the PC-printer port.
