Wireless Set 46

The WS 46 is a 6 valve sender/receiver and was intended primarily developed for communications in beach-assault landings by Combined Operations Command. It was very strongly built, waterproof and crystal tuned to avoid time consuming tuning when establishing vital communication in initial stages of landing. Tuning is controlled by any one of 3 crystals cut to different frequencies, each being brought into operation as required by a 3 position switch. Two crystals per frequency are required marked R (for receiver) and S (for sender) respectively. They are no interchangeable.
