ARRL Field Day

Stations in ARRL/RAC sections send their Field Day Class (5A, 1D) and section. No credit is given for Class 1D stations working each other, but stations will just work each other anyway - to see how many sections/states they can work.

DX stations send RST and DXCC/QTH. The DXCC prefix is displayed after entering a call.

QSO points:
CW = 2, all DIG (RTTY, PSK etc) = 2 and PH = 1. Work stations on the 3 modes modes.

Score: (QSO pts  X  power mult) + bonus points. Click [Multi/Bonus] to setup the bonus points. Then re-load the log file to update the score. The GOTA (Get On The Air) station replaced the Novice/Tech station.

When entering the section, a hard-coded lookup table allows different inputs other than the exact section abbreviation. EP=EPA, EM=EMA, etc. See / print the data file [arrl_sec.txt].

Log submissions:
Check the rules for log submission. The ARRL doesn`t require the Cabrillo log file because they do not have a Cabrillo compliant format, but they will accept a Cabrillo. You can select the option to write either the Cabrillo log or a standard ASCII file. Send them the log with [urCall.log] as the filename. They also require a summary file [urCall.sum] and a dupe file [urCall.txt].

Datafiles required: [ sections.dat ] and [arrl_sec.txt].
