Your compass is no longer needed! Align your rotor control indicator using six digit grid squares. Enter the six-digit for your favorite beacons into SQUARES. Then peak your antenna on a beacon and adjust your rotor indicator to the heading indicated in SQUARES. Peak your antenna on another beacon in the opposite direction to verify the rotor controller`s linearity. Do this procedure on the microwave bands to check for skewing of the antenna pattern.
Old: The sixdigit.dat file was used by my loggers for heading/distance lookup from callsign.
New: The larger file vhf4k.adi is now used for look-up.
The loggers have the 6-digit calculator to display the heading/distance at any time.
GenLog users: SQUARES comes with VHFLOG, but you can download it here. Run the installer and extract the files to your logging folder and make a shortcut.
