This one owner 1979 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport was purchase new by my father-in-law in December1978 in Birmingham, AL.
The Elky came with all of GM goodies including a 305 V8 with 4-barrel cab, power windows/locks, stereo FM with 8-track player and rear air shocks. Pappy cut the CATs, added glass pack mufflers and the black bed liner. Yes, the 8-track still works!
Pappy passed the car to me in October 2003 with 17,000 on the clock (really 217K) and it was in great shape for its age.
