Abandoned highways and bridges of Texas

This is a case where a merger was straightened out, leaving an orphaned piece of highway. In this case, the orphaned piece of road was even given a name - Buddy Jones Road. I believe this was named after a Texas State Legislator, but I don't know if I would want my name on a 1/4 mile of abandoned highway!
