Maffitt Street

Maffitt Street is one of the streets that was abandoned in preparation for the extension of the Hardy Toll Road from the North Loop (Interstate 610) down south along Maury/Hardy/Elysian streets culminating in downtown Houston. As a result, houses are gone. However, there is no set date on construction of the toll road. Maffitt is the road that parallels the railroad tracks. I'm not sure how much of a "road" it ever was, but it looks to be abandoned.
