North
Houston-Rosslyn Road, south of West Mount Houston/north of railroad
track
When North
Houston-Rosslyn was widened to four lane divided in the late 80s and
early 90s, two sections were abandoned when the road was straightened.
This is the southern abandoned section. This old section had a very
awkward angle as it approached the railroad track crossing. Old trucks
are being stored on this section and there is some type of old farm or
greenhouse, but it doesn't look very active. There used to be a
bar/restaurant, but it closed. One interesting thing about this
abandoned piece is that there are THREE connecting pieces to the new
road. That's pretty unusual to have so much important on getting to an
abandoned street. As
always, if you have more information, please e-mail the
webmaster.
