Old Main Street Loop Road  

Photos of a road that disappeared, and disappeared. When first built, it actually ran through what is now the Astrodome. Here are some photos of what little is left, south of IH 610 the South Loop, at Bellfort and nearby. Some of these are from a much earlier website. Finally, a view of the road in 1978. It is the road that bisects the photo at almost a 45 degree angle. To its left is Main Street (before it became a mini-freeway).
