Abandoned highways and bridges of Texas

Old Jones Road - Galveston (Highway designation unknown?)

Not much is none about this section except that it was a rare instance of a curving section being abandoned to make another street intersect at right angles. Perhaps a Galveston viewer can fill us in on this mystery. It might not even be Jones Road, but this will need more research.
