Quitman Street

Quitman is a strange case. For some reason old maps look like they have two Quitman Streets by US 59. I can't quite figure this one out, but it does look like one of them was abandoned. Perhaps a reader can help on this one. Look at the photos and see what you think. I'll start with 1944 Quitman is near the center and runs across the photo. However, note the word Quitman in slanted form. Then look at the second photo and make your own judgements. There is a piece of old pavement, but which Quitman does it belong to?? Closeups don't help on this one.
