Abandoned State Highway 71 near Toll Road in Austin

Google map photos will show a rarity - a section of four lane divided highway - for State Highway 71 near Austin. These photos are rare in that the abandoned section now no longer exists. It has been covered with grass for the most part. In fact, distant plans are to reuse it, but as the main lanes for a State Highway 71 freeway. When I say distant, I mean probably very distant. The traffic level does not warrant a freeway being built yet, but who knows. For now, enjoy this collection of a double lane abandoned highway.
