Greetings and the Lord's Blessing to you. Name here is Craig Rose, KC0YHU. I grew up with an interest in Electronics and radio but other than involvement, as a teenager in CB radio, I was not around anyone to help/encourage me further.

Then in 2006, when reading about Wi-Fi distance records set by Hams, a spark was rekindled for the Ham radio field. A Technician Class license was acquired in August that year. I did not pursue purchasing equipment or getting on-the-air until the 2008 ARTS/DMRAA Field Day event; which brought new friends and interest and a presence on Echolink. I acquired my General Class license in September 2008 and bought my first radios in October that year. A Yaesu FT-857D, mounted in a Chev Pickup, along with a Kenwood TH-F6A HT. In January 2009 I passed the Extra Class Exam and acquired my ARRL VE credentials and now have the W5YI-VE credentials. At my home QTH the main radio position (of several) consists of a Kenwood TS-2000, LDG KT-100 autotuner, and a G5RV dipole @ 24ft. Along with other 10M, 2M & 440 antennas. I do have a Ameritron AL-811H Amplifier but have not used it in some time.

My XYL, Barbara - KD0NEZ, acquired her Tech License in December 2010 and I enjoy attending and working events with her! Barbara passed her General exam on 1/20/2019. I am so proud of her! We both are very active (read too busy, HI HI) in radio from DMR to SSB and are members of many clubs. See my QRZ profile for details.

I believe it was in 2012 that Pat - KC0YHV (now KC0PJD) introduced me to the ARMS Net on 3.903.5 (now on 3.905.5 Saturday Mornings). I then met Tom AA0LF at the hamfests. In 2013 I joined ARMS and enjoy being a Net Control, Assistant Midwest Director, attending Hamfests with my Wife Barb-KD0NEZ and meeting/chatting with other ARMS members and Hams at those Hamfests.

Both Barb and I are retired. I have worked several professions in my life: Radiator Repair/Shop Foreman; worked on any radiator from automotive to Locomotive. Bookkeeper; I have a diploma in Bookkeeping/Accounting and worked at a Major Automotive Dealership in the area specializing in Payroll. And as a Computer Technician; contracted to one of the Major Electrical Companies in the U.S.A. I used my Bookkeeping abilities serving as a Deacon in charge of Finances at a local Non-denominational Church we used to attend. This Church had grown such...that this position was becoming a full-time job and I was working full-time also. So I had to step down. Our current Church, that we are attending, just finished a building addition because of the growth. We enjoy attending all the services, small groups, and other functions there.

Our God is the only God and the creator of all things. Deuteronomy 6:4, Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And I would like to remind everyone to; Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:5, Praise, Glory and Honor to our Father, Son Lord Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
