Binghamton Amateur Radio Association – July 2025

ARRL Field Day Pictures

BARA participated in this annual event where radio amateurs set
up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham
radio’s science, skill and service. It takes place on the fourth full
weekend of June, spanning from 1800 UTC on Saturday to 2059 UTC on Sunday.
Participants aim to contact as many stations as possible on various HF bands
and all bands 50 MHz and above. Field Day combines public service, emergency
preparedness, community outreach and technical skills, making it a vibrant
showcase of ham radio capabilities.
