Countdown to BARA Field Day 2026!
Save the date ... June 27 and 28th at the Kopernik Observatory ... and join in the fun. Everyone’s time and talents are
appreciated, and there’s a place for everyone, no matter their level of
experience. Here are some of the areas where you can be part of BARA FD2026: s, coax, q · Operators and loggers – Team up for phone, CW, and digital across the bands · Equipment setup and takedown – Before and after including laptops, rigs, coax, quadplexer, filters, etc · Power Management – Generator, fuel, power distribution, solar, battery, safety · Food & Drink – Help with breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and hydration · Tech Support – Assist with computers, logging software, networking, radio interfacing · Publicity & Outreach – Meet and greet guests and visitors, signs, welcome/info table, social media presence, invitations to media, Scout, social, and other groups · General Help – Coach and mentor, assist where needed · Bonus Points Coordination – Help the club earn bonus credits and learn/demonstrate new skills, including: 100% Emergency Power Public Information Table Message to Section Manager Message Handling Alternate Power Copy W1AW Bulletin Educational Activity Visits by Elected Officials and Agencies Youth Participation Social Media Satellite QSO ... and more!
