MMDVMHost + DMRGateway (2026) Windows Setup Guide

This guide explains how to run MMDVMHost + DMRGateway with BrandMeister using modern (2026) versions.

Radio / Hotspot
      ↓
  MMDVMHost
      ↓
  DMRGateway
      ↓
 BrandMeister

⚙️ Requirements

• Windows PC
• OpenGD77 hotspot or compatible modem
• COM port configured correctly
• BrandMeister hotspot password
• MQTT broker (Mosquitto recommended)

📡 Step 1: Install MQTT (Mosquitto)

Download and install Mosquitto:

https://mosquitto.org/download/

Run:

mosquitto.exe

⚙️ Step 2: Configure MMDVMHost

[DMR Network]
Enable=1
GatewayAddress=127.0.0.1
GatewayPort=62031
LocalAddress=127.0.0.1
LocalPort=62032

⚙️ Step 3: Configure DMRGateway

[DMR Network 1]
Enable=1
Address=4602.master.brandmeister.network
Port=62031
Local=62032
Password=YOUR_PASSWORD
Slot2=1

▶️ Step 4: Run Programs

Start in this order:

DMRGateway.exe DMRGateway.ini
MMDVMHost.exe

✅ Expected Output

DMR, Sending authorisation
DMR, Logged into the master successfully

⚠️ Notes

• MQTT is required for newer builds
• Do NOT connect MMDVMHost directly to BrandMeister
• Use DMRGateway for all network connections
