Hi, I'm Regina,

a picture of Regina, DL4OCC

and my callsign is DL4OCC. As you can see from the 'D' in my callsign, I live in Germany.

I passed the examination for my radio amateur license in 1992. At first it seemed that I would need Morse code only for the exam, but now I'm even helping with teaching code at my local Radio Amateur Club.

Maybe that's because I've been a school teacher for more than thirty years now and, you won't believe it, I still love my job.

Today I am the headmaster of a mid-size elementary school in Anderten, which is one of Hannover's still more rural suburbs. At our school, the Kurt-Schumacher-Schule, 21 teachers teach about 290 pupils at an age of 6 to 11.

Some of my time I still spend teaching for boys and girls in English, Math, German and other topics. I do like this very much, but very often all the school management tasks have higher priority.

On the right you find my QSL card, which clearly gives a hint at my profession. When there is still time left, I sometimes sit in front of our VHF and short-wave radios and try to make contacts with all parts of the world.

If you'd like to know more, you should either

Better yet: try both of them, you are invited!

Of course, you can always send me an EMail.

Preferred Mode of Operation

Naturally, on short waves I use SSB (J3E), and FM (F3E) on VHF/UHF. But my preferred mode of operation is CW, or more correctly A1A using international Morse code (or continental code as it is called in the USA).
