2h Logging and Identification
2h.1 12(1), Occasions for mandatory log keeping.

Amateurs are no longer required to log all their transmissions. The only exceptions are:
1. If there is an investigation into interference the Licencee may be requested by an Ofcom authorised person to keep a permanent record (log) of such matters concerning the operation of their Radio Equipment over a period of time and in a format required by the Ofcom authorised person.
2.When operating the Radio Equipment from a Vessel, the Licensee shall, at the request of the Vessel’s master, keep a log of such matters concerning the operation of the Radio Equipment as the master may require.

13(1) Identification

The Licensee, or, if this Licence is a Full Licence, then any other authorised person who uses the Radio Equipment, shall transmit the Call sign specified in Section 1 of this Licence and any Modifier applicable under the provisions of this Licence:
(a) during initial calls (“CQ” calls) or calls to establish contact with another Amateur;
(b) at least once every 15 minutes when the period of communication is longer than 15 minutes;
(c) whenever the frequency of transmission is changed, at the beginning of transmission on the new frequency;
(d) by the same type of transmission that is being used for the communication;
(e) on the same frequency that is being used for the communication.
