RSGB Low Power Field Day

The RSGB Low Power Field Day Contest on Sunday 16 July 2006.

It was a beautiful scorching hot and sunny July day with the temperature reaching above 28C.

Pity band conditions were not as good as the weather 8-).

Portable shack and equipment used.

Elecraft K2 transciever, Z11 Auto Tuner, headphones, radio clock, "The Morse Machine" keyer, G4ZPY paddle key, notepad.

Old Toshiba Laptop running Super Duper (courtesy of Paul O'Kane EI5DI).

The large batteries used to power the station. Power for the Laptop was derived via an Inverter.
