In this page I want to honor the memory of my father, DROSHN VISHNOFF, HK3HFQ (silent key), who showed me the values of life, the importance of honesty and the delight in Amateur Radio.
1914 - 1990
A short note on HK6HFY.
I was born in Nijmegen - The Netherlands, in 1945 and have been living in Colombia since 1962. After my highschool I studied Medicina at the Universidad Catolica Pontificia Javeriana in Bogota and continued my Post-Graduate studies in Anaesthesiology at the Katholieke Universiteit of Nijmegen. Since 1978 I have been working and living in Ibague(grid locator FJ24JK). In 1984 I received my first Amateur Radio license: HK6HFY-N, and started as a novice, at the same time with my father. Since the being an avid Dxer in SSB and CW.
My family:
Rocio, my wife. Droshn (HJ3HFQ) my oldest son. John (HJ6ZYR) my second son and my daughter Ingrid, the youngest of the family.
