The 12V systems and control operates all of the normal vehicle
accessories such as lights, radio, horn and wipers, etc. The 12V
automotive battery serves only as an emergency source of 12V power in
case the truck's auxilliary 12V power converter fails. There is nothing
to "start" in an EV. This converter is located underneath the battery.
