	Trust me, this method is way easier than the loop-over-loop method. And as an added bonus, you can coil a cable while one end is connected and not make any kinks or knots. This works for cables, wires, ropes, hoses, and anything else you can think of. I’ve heard band saw blades get wrapped in a similar fashion.
	
	If the link dies, here is the summary: every other loop, change directions. So loop 1 will leave the tail "outside" the coil, loop 2 leavs the tail under one turn, loop 3 goes back on top, loop 4 will leave the tail under one turn, ad nauseam, etc, etc.
	
	You can also coil figure 8's and not kink cables. If you use a "turn, turn, cross" method like Dave Rat, then you can cancel out some inductance as well.
