On June 10 from and June 14, 2002 I had the pleasure to volunteer for radio communications duty at the checkpoints nearest to the Northern fire perimeter at West Douglas fire station 2 and at Rampart/Rte 67 checkpoint. The Salvation Army is my favorite Searved Agency and it is a pleasure to work alongside the dedicated personnel who were keeping the firemen, sheriff's personnel (and me) hydrated and fueled with great meal service, all in the middle of the Rockies.
