The Berks Amateur Radio Club came into existence as a result of a reorganization of the Dauberville DX Association or DDXA in November of 2011. The club thought that a name change was needed to reflect the "general interest" mission of the club. So the Name Berks Amateur Radio Club was decided (acronim BARC)
Our membership represents nearly all facets of the amateur radio hobby and related technologies.

 
    WE are a club that embraces ALL forms of technology that involves radio! Our members have recently decided to add GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) to our interests. The call sign for the new GMRS repeater is WRQL-370. It is with the addition of GMRS to the club, the members hope to create interest in two way comms and to help those users to transistion into amateur radio.
