Projects

Here are some of the projects that I have worked on. Click on the image to go to a more complete description of the project.

Any homebrewer will recognize the prolific, all-purpose enclosure for a multitude of projects. This particular incarnation is an LED flashlight that I kitted for the scouts as a JOTA project.

This is a code practice oscillator that I built for the Boy Scouts to use while working on their signaling merit badge. And then it went a step further.

An RF pick-up that was mentioned in a QST column. It can be used to check transmitter output with a frequency counter, sprectrum analyzer or monitor scope without degrading the signal. Once I get it built, I'll post a write-up and pictures of the final result.

I recently purchased a Freq-Mite kit and put it together. An interesting project, to say the least. I'll get something written up soon.

This is a portable HF station I put together to take hill-topping. It consists of an
MFJ-9420 monoband QRP rig and a homebrewed Buddipole antenna. It also has a 2-meter rig and the whole station is powered by gel cells and a solar panel. Detailed write-up to follow soon.
