How reports reach the KCGR hub map
This map shows every way a report can end up on the public KCGR hub map during an emergency. Two ways are automatic. One is typed in by a volunteer team.
Winlink, PAT and APRS are automatic. A message sent to a KCGR address or tactical call sign is read by a program every 5 minutes and added to the map.
Everything else is hand entry. Team members listen to radio, mesh networks, nets, social media, agencies and community sites. They type each report into the Grist database, and Grist updates the map.
