Amateur Radio Micro Data Service (ARMDS)

I now have ARMDS running for testing. See here.

ARMDS (My example setup running here) is an experiment to create a system of statically retrievable data via APRS messages. It is written in Python and available at GitHub. I created this as a way for my wife to see that all is well while solo hiking or riding a motorcycle. APRS is so vast, between wide area digipeaters and satellites, I find that APRS works in many places where cellular service is not present. Why not use that advantage of APRS?
