9Q - 9Q6CC is the new callsign issued to Christian, CX2CC for his
activity from Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He will
remain there for one year with activity on 80-10 metres SSB,

replied "after February 2012".
CY0 - Licensed since July 2010, Alan, VE1AWW is a government employee
currently working at the Sable Island station until "more or less"
29 December. He is QRV during his spare time on SSB as CY0/VE1AWW,
with 100 watts into a vertical antenna. "I am not on the air
between 11 and 19z (12-20z once Canada switches from daylight
savings to standard time)", he says, but "I will do my best to
operate at different times on the weekends so as many different
areas as possible get an opportunity". QSL via home call, direct

DU - Vincent, F4BKV will be active holiday style as DU1/F4BKV from
Mindoro Island (OC-244) on 4-7 November. He will operate SSB and
PSK31 with 100 watts, home made dipoles for 15 and 20 metres and a
vertical for 40m. Expect him to be QRV mainly during his evening

Sony Kyushu ARC will be active as JF6ZNT from the Danjo Islands
(AS-056) on 5-7 November. They will operate SSB, CW and RTTY on

FJ - Nick, VE3EY will be active as TO3A from Saint Barthelemy (NA-146)
on 22-30 November. He will operate CW, SSB and RTTY on 160-10
metres, and will take part in the CQ WW DX CW Contest. QSL via

PJ2 - Look for PJ2/K2TQC, PJ2/N2MF, PJ2/W1NG and PJ2/K2NV to be active
from Curacao (SA-099) on 4-11 November. They plan to emphasize

SM - Stephan, SM5YRA will be active as SM1YRA from Faro Island (EU-020)
and lighthouse on 7-19 November. He will operate holiday style on

T6 - Paul Ewing, N6PSE has been issued the call sign of T6PSE by the
Afghanistan Ministry of Telecom, and is planning a multi-national
DXpedition to take place over ten days in May 2011. A
multi-national team of nine operators (AH6HY, K1LZ, K3LP, N6PSE,
W0UCE, W5KDJ, WO1S, YI1UNH and YT1AD) will be active on 160-10
metres CW, SSB and RTTY with up to five stations at the same time

TA - The TC Special Wireless Activity Team will operate as TC87TC on
29-31 October to celebrate the 87th anniversary of the
proclamation of the Republic of Turkey (Turkiye Cumhuriyeti).

TA - IRESC (International Radio Emergency Support Coalition) Turkiye
will be active with five stations during the CQ WW DX SSB Contest:

V2 - Bud, AA3B, will be active as V26K from Antigua (NA-100) on 24-29
November, including a SOAB Low Power entry in the CQ WW DX CW

V5 - Klaus, DJ4SO will be active again as V5/DJ4SO from Namibia from 3
November to 1 December. He plans to operate CW, RTTY, PSK31 and

VE - Special event station CG3MUG will be active throughout November to
celebrate the 100th anniversary of Thunder Bay MCTS Centre
(Canadian Coast Guard Radio Station). MUG was the callsign of the
original marine station, built in 1910 by the Canadian Marconi

VK9_c - Phil, G3SWH and Jim, G3RTE will be active as VK9C/G6AY from the
Cocos (Keeling) Islands (OC-003) between 22 February and 5 March

permitting, they plan to have two stations on the air for as many

SABLE ISLAND CANCELLED ---> "Today, prior to our planned departure to Sable
Island on Saturday, a major safety issue was discovered with the charter
aircraft that requires repair before we can fly", N0TG reported on 22
October. "It is estimated that acquiring parts and completing the repairs
will extend as much as three weeks or longer". The team (AA4VK, AI5P, N0TG
and VE1RGB) had no choice but to return home. They hope they will be able
to reschedule the DXpedition, but for the time being they cannot even say
if it will be possible. All of the donations received so far will be
