FO - FRENCH POLYNESIA, OC-046
Phil,F5PHW, who holds the callsign FO8RZ now has put up his groundplane
HF6V and is now active in CW on 80m-10m. Unfortunately the conditions
are very bad to Europe and Asia at the moment so he is logging US
stations on 30m, 20m and 15m. He wants to erect also a 3ele yagi for 6m
and a dipole for 40m/80m until the end of August. This operation has
been approved for DXCC credit already but the QSLs are not printed yet.
     His QSL manager is F8BPN.
The logs have been uploaded to the LotW and are also available online
     at: http://f5phw.chez.com

modes mainly on 20m, 30m and 40m signing IS0/DL6ZFG. He may switch also
to SSTV if requested so. He hopes to become active also from the
WWF parks IFF-014 and IFF-259. His equipment includes an ICOM 706MK2G
with 100 watts, verticals and mobile antennas.
Check also his homepage at: http://www.dl6zfg.de

New Guinea (OC-034). He is working for the organisation "Australian
Doctors International" (ADI, http://www.adi.org.au) and most likely
he will only have little time for our radio hobby.

Growing amateur radio community in China:
-----------------------------------------
The Chinese amateur radio sports association CRSA recognizes a growing
number of radio amateurs in China with 90.000 licensees now. This is
very remarkable bearing in mind that the number of cellular phones and
internet accesses is growing much more in these times. This is reported
by the British news portal of the Southgate Amateur Radio Club.
