CE0Z - JUAN FERNANDEZ ISLANDS, SA-005
     Toshi,JA8BMK, announced to show up as CE0Z/JA8BMK from the island of
     Juan Fernandez (SA-005) from Jan 19 until Feb 2. While being there he
     expects to get assistance of Marco,CE6TBN, who can stay for only five
     days on the island unfortunately. Toshi will be QRV in CW, SSB and
     digital modes on 160m-10m with emphasis put on the lowbands. His equip-
     ment includes a yagi, vertical and a power amplifier for nice signals.

CU - AZORES ISLANDS, EU-175
     A group of Finnish DXers (OH2BO, OH2PM, OH2MM, OH2BH/CU2KG,OH8NC/CU2KH)
     is going to activate the Azores Islands (EU-175) starting on Jan 16.
     Operation will take place mainly on 160m - they have improved their
     verticals and beverage antennas. They also plan to participate in the
     CQWW 160m CW and the ARRL CW/SSB Contests using their callsign CR2X.
     QSLs for CR2X/CU2KG via OH2BH, CU2KH via OH8NC.

FO/A - AUSTRAL ISLANDS, OC-114
     Wulf,FO/DL1AWI, Peter,FO/DL3APO, and Mat,FO/DL5XU, will be active from
     Raivavae Island (OC-114,DIFO FO-122, WLOTA L-2581) between Jan 18 and
     Feb 5. Activities will take place mainly in CW on 160-30m, but they
     will work also in SSB and RTTY on the other bands.

J5 - GUINEA-BISSAU / 6W - SENEGAL
     Peter,HA3AUI, will stay in Western Africa from Jan 15 until Mar 31. He
     will spend his holidays at the border between Senegal and Guinea-Bissau
     and plans to show up on the bands as 6W2SC and J5UAP alternately. Peter
     will be QRV on 160m-10m, prefers digital modes (CW/SSB upon request)
     and uses a K3 transceiver with 500 watts amplifier, a 5 band Spiderbeam
     and verticals. QSLs direct via HA3AUI.

J7 - DOMINICA, NA-101
     Seth,SM0XBI, is on the air again signing J79XBI between Jan 8 and the
     end of March. Seth works in SSB on all HF bands.
     He prefers QSL via LoTW but they are also ok via buro to his homecall.

XX9 - MACAU, AS-075
     Georg,DK7LX, became active as XX9TLX from Coloane Island (AS-075) on
     Jan 8. He works with 100 watts mainly in CW on all bands (except 160m)
     but is not sure yet about his length of stay.
     QSLs via bureau or direct to his homecall DK7LX.

7P - LESOTHO
     Art,ZS6BQI, intends to show up as 7P8BA mainly in CW and digital modes
     on 40m-10m from Jan 14-18. QSLs direct via his homecall.

9M6 - EAST MALAYSIA, OC-088
     Some members of the "North Borneo Worldwide DXers" (NBWDX) coming from
     Malaysia and Brunei plan to activate the Crocker Range Mountains from
     a height of 1829m a.s.l. on several bands and modes on January 16/17.
     The mountain range is situated about 90 km southeast of Kota Kinabalu
     in a national park. Their call will be 9M4STA but they did not announce
     any SOTA or national park reference numbers.
     Their QSL manager will be Buzz,NI5DX.

POLAND, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
     The special call 3Z0FCH, which is activated until Jun 30, remembers the
     Polish composer and pianist Fryderyc Chopin who would have celebrated
     his 200th birthday this year. QSLs direct or via bureau to SP7PAD.

TURKEY, SPECIAL EVENT STATIONS
     Besides of Essen (Germany) and Pecs (Hungary) Istanbul was designated
     the third European Capital of Culture 2010. The "TC Special Wireless
     Activity Team" will activate altogether thirteen TC2010 prefixes during
     this year. The first activities will take place from Jan 15-18 using
     the calls TC2010CCE, TC2010CCA and TC2010CCI.

PIRATE: Natig Gasimov,4J5T, president of the "Federation of Radio Sport of
     Azerbaijan" writes that 4K2JF/p, who pretended to be on Franz Josef
     Land, was a slim. The callsign block 4J/4K is used exclusively by the
     Ministry for Communication of Azerbaijan.
