Egyptian Radio Amateurs Society for Development (ERASD)
-------------------------------------------------------
Egypt announces the establishment of "The Egyptian Radio Amateurs Society
for Development" (short ERASD), the national official representative body
for radio amateurs in Egypt. Despite the fact that amateur radio has been
present in Egypt since the early twenties of the last century, there was
no officially recognized society to represent radio amateurs in Egypt for
nearly the past eight decades.
