Simple Circuit to prevent SEND relay failure - example - in ICOM transceivers like IC-756 series of radios.

Note:  The TIP31 (NPN BVceo = 40V) is a substitute for the 2SD1406.  The TIP32 (PNP, BVceo = -40V) is a substitute for the 2SB834.  The TIP31 and TIP32 are available at Digikey, eBay and most electronics parts houses.
