Starting today at 1500 EDT a countywide curfew will be in effect.
The curfew lasts from 3 P.M. Saturday until modified or cancelled.
A person must have a legitimate purpose for being out past curfew hours. In addition to the curfew, the State of Emergency also Prohibits the Sale and/or Distribution of Alcohol as well as the Sale and/or Display of Firearms.
This curfew is to ensure the safety of all citizens of Palm Beach County as well as the personal property and businesses in our county from looters and individuals taking advantage of the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and all law enforcement in Municipal areas will have zero tolerance for looting.

Yesterday I lost my Comcast internet and tv for nearly 2 hours. 1308-1500EDT
This is what it was like the last 18 hours.
TODAY IS THE DAY of maximum winds and rain in my neighborhood.
A feud has begun between the City of Boca Raton and Palm Beach County. Boca Raton will not have a curfew. Boca Police Department confirmed, they WILL NOT ENFORCE the county curfew. PBSO has no jurisdiction in Boca Raton city limits. Palm Beach County reaffirms the curfew IS COUNTY WIDE.
I don't live in Boca Raton even though I have a Boca Raton address. I live in Boca Del Mar which is in unincorporated Palm Beach County. If I want to go to Boca Raton (i.e. - da BEACH) I will have to do a short fast dash to avoid arrest by the PBSO. (Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office)

I LOST POWER between 1150 and 1230 EDT.
I have NO Comcast Xfinity internet and tv service since the power outage. I hooked up an antenna to my television to watch over the air tv.
I have NO SARnet. I was in a different room watching tv when some time in the afternoon I noticed a lack of traffic on SARnet Fort Lauderdale. The repeater worked but it's not linked to the network.
About 1815 EDT the POWER went OUT.
