I know what you are thinking. Why this site? Well I ask you, why not?

Ok enough Philosophy. So I initially only wanted an email alias I would use for somethings to not have to expose my actual email too much online. That was the main reason I signed up for this account.

However, since QSL.net only supports HTML pages, I decided I wanted to build an HTML static page on the site cause I could. Then it kind of went to “Well Static sites can be boring, especially on QSL and I wanted to be different”. The fact that QSL only supports HTML pages became “Hey this is a GREAT time to learn about static site generators” and so I started researching it more.

Eventually I landed on developing this with Jekyll. It was something new to learn, combines my love of automation and Markdown and would be a new challenge.

So in a round about way I am saying that the ONLY reason this site exists is it is a giant experiment just to see if I can do it. That’s it. That is why there will not be much put up on the site. I have an actual blog on Github Pages, so I don’t want to be redundant.
