The city of Irvine, also known as "The Irvine Ranch" is the largest well-planned community in North America and is headquarters for more than 100 major corporations. 2007 marked the third year in a row that the city of Irvine was ranked as one of top 10, followed by 2008 as the fourth safest city to live in North America. Irvine also home to the University of California, Irvine (UCI), one of the best UC schools in the UC system.
Irvine is located roughly 50 miles South of LAX, 90 miles North of San Diego and 10 miles to the beach. Bordered by Newport Beach and Newport Coast to the West, Anaheim with Downtown Disney to the East.
Life Style in Irvine is a unique experience all by itself. Just imagine that you are living in the country with all the conveniences of a big city. Yet, if you want to go out to the " Country Side", it is all surrounded in the immediate area and spread from the mountain to the sea.
The Great Park of Irvine is a brand new upcoming great public park that system that connects between several public parks in Irvine. It stretches from the mountains to the sea with Botanical gardens, hiking trails, fishing ponds, lakes, sand dunes and oasis.

The best part of living "on the ranch" is that you feel like you are living in the country, yet so close to ALL the aminities and conveniences of a big city such as entertainments, shoppings, business centers, etc...
If you're into the outdoors, the hiking trails from the mountains to the sea cannot be beat and to top all that, the Southern California weather is ALL WELL WORTH it.
If you're into dinings, there are numerous restaurants from fast-foods to high-end dinings and from all different part of the world.
If you're into electronics (like I am), you are in heaven (I know I am...). No other cities that I've been in have Circuit City, Best Buy, CompUSA, Fry's, Micro Center all within a couple of miles radius.
If you have a significant other who loves to shop, you don't have to go very far. Various shopping centers from indoor malls to outdoor promenades are all here in Irvine.
If you just want to get out of town for a quick day trip and do something fun such as going skiing, snowboarding (in the Winter time), all the local mountain resorts are only a couple hours drive.
If you feel like going to the beach, go surfin' or just to watch the sunset, the beaches are only 10 mins away.
If you want to have a bid more fun and adventurous, take the whole gang out to have a blast in Las Vegas. It's only 3.5 hours away; cross the border into Mexico is 1.5 hours South; a trip out to the wine country is less than 2 hours drive.
If you want to be out in the wild, less than 5 minutes to the mountains you can find all the tranquilities.
If you like the desert and go off-roadings, dirt bikings or gamblings in the Indian Casinos, etc... they are only an hour away.
If you're into photography, there are all kinds of landscape to shoot and compose. From wild flowers to manicured plantations to rolling hills to running streams to natural ponds and to modern architural buildings. The possibilities are simply endless.
If you have kids, the school system in Irvine is ranked one of the top 10 in the nation. There are no other city in the US I'm aware of that has FIVE high school. Kids in pre-school and middle school can go to their own neighborhood school right near home.

Public parks, bike paths, hiking trails, are always well trimmed. The city always keep all the public places tidy. All public roads are well paved, no pot holes. All street are tree lined and well iluminated at night. I can't think of any other cities that offer so much for a great living. Life is fantastic here on the ranch...
