peaking 2dB took 30 Minutes to complete! |
Comments, February 2008. |
M1DUD. 10 QSO's ODX PA0GHB 194 kms. Deep QSB
and static from North-west, QNH 1010mB. I Worked all I could
hear. |
Comments, March 2008. |
M1DUD. 12 QSOs made in some very poor band conditions.
Deep Fading and constant Static (QRN) made operation difficult.
The ON and LX Beacons were not audible during the contest. ODX was
5Q6M on JT6M 696Kms taking 12 Minutes to complete and peaking 5dB.
I was very pleased to complete 2 way QRP with Patrick ON3PY for
his first ON-G contact on six. Most of the time he was 31 but
peaked 53 and enabled us to complete. With such poor conditions
I was surprised to work M0WLF in IO81 (287 Kms) peaking 54. Very
poor inter G activity. QNH 1004 mB. |
Comments, April 2008. |
M1DUD. 9 QSO's. ODX 5Q6M (JO55) 696 kms took only
6 minutes to complete QNH 1016mB rising. Noisy band conditions
weak tropho. LX Beacon only just audible. |
Comments, May 2008. |

M1DUD. An memorable evening with 19 QSO's. A mixture
of trophoscatter and short, medium and long-distance sporadic e
propagation. ODX EA8/DL6FAW (3043 KMs) and EA6DX were worked at
the start of the test. Several EA1, EA2, EA3 stations were
worked around 1730 before Sporadic E gave way to Trophoscatter. Heavy
Thunderstorms were reported in the Bay of Biscay around 1900. In
the last 15 minutes of the test there was Short skip of around 850KMs
and F5LQ and F6GPT were worked. EI2IP (IO61) was also worked (627KM)
I heard several CT and EA1 stations working OH OZ LA, but I was
unable to hear any scandinavians myself! QNH 1022. |
Comments, July 2008. |
M1DUD. 10 QSO's ODX M1DDD 256 KMs. Low activity
with some deep QSB Before the contest I worked EA3, EA5 F stations
on E Propagation. All of the QSO's were Scatter and no stations
outside 300km were heard. The LX0SIX beacon was not audible either.
QNH 1026. |

Comments, September 2008. |
M1DUD. A rewarding evening with 7 QSOs in near
flat conditions. Some Good meteor pings. ODX was LA7VH AT 990KMS
and taking 12 minutes to complete on JT6M, peak 5dB. OZ6OM peaked
4dB and took around 15 minutes. SM7CMV was the final contact and
peaked 2dB and was completed in 8 pings over 9 minutes. Although
several stations were QRV, unfortunately, they were too weak to
make SSB contacts LX0SIX was not audible. QNH 1022MB 73's Robin |
Comments, October 2008. |
M1DUD. 7 QSO's ODX OZ3FYN 696 KMS on JT6M peaking 5dB with some 4 second MS Bursts. Some good local activity but band was quiet. QNH1012 No Beacons were copied tonight. 73 de Robin M1DUD |
Comments, November 2008. |
M1DUD. 5 QSO's ODX OZ7CQ (696 kms) Peaking
7dB on JT6M with some 3-4 second bursts. Heard but could
not work G3MEH and M1DDD due to very high levels of local noise
and deep QSB. LX0SIX/B heard weakly. GW8ASD was heard weakly on
SSB and GM4WJA LA and SM were heard on JT6M at end of the contest.
QNH 1023 73 Robin. |
Comments, December 2008. |
M1DUD. 5 QSO's low band conditions and no local activity. ODX M1DDD in IO93 (256 Kms), not bad for a mid-winter evening 73 Robin. |
