Preston Amateur Radio Club - History
Previously, there was a formal club representing Preston County. Recently, there is an interest to revive a club. The first meeting of the
Preston County Radio Club was held on April 14, 2019. Although only a few amateurs attended, there is a sense of excitement to build a club that will be beneficial to the community and local amateurs while promoting the hobby and emergency communications. The club plans to meet monthly and work together to get the club repeater operational. Discussion has began to develop plans for other activities including sponsoring classes and test sessions.
