FM1100 and 1200 radios.
There is no such thing as an FM1000 because the name refers to a series
of transceivers rather than to an individual type. Your radio is either an
FM1100, FM1200 or FM1300 and each of these comes in an incredible number of
sub-variants for different PMR bands, bandwidths, power levels etc. To add to
the confusion there are 4 types of control head: basic, standard (trunking),
standard (non-trunking) and numeric keypad.
Key facts about the FM1000 series
| The most essential part is the type label on the back of the transceiver.
Read it and understand it. |
| Designed and manufactured by Philips Telecom Cambridge. |
| Brilliant automatic RF tracking concept obviates re-tuning. |
| Contains up to three MCS51 microcontrollers, each running PROM-resident
software. |
| Requires PDP or CDP tools for user configuration programming. |
