Test equipment or Test packages consists of one or more test sets together with the required accessories for their operation.

IE-9-C Test equipment

Used for Radio Repair, 3rd and 4th Echelon
Principal users Radio Repair Section
Consists of: Analyser I-167 or I-153-B
Frequency sets I-129 and SCR-211
Signals Generator I-72 and I-208
Test set I-199 (dynamotor test set) or I-83

IE-10 Test equipment

Used for Telephone and telegraph tests
Principal users Wire repair trucks, 3rd and 4th Echelon
Consists of: Test set I-61-A (transmission measuring set)
batteries and hydrometers
Test sets TS-26/TSM and TS-27/TSM used with but not part of IE-10
Remarks Replaced by IE-29

 

IE-12 Test equipment

Used for Radio set SCR-624, AN/VRC-1, AN/TRC-7
Principal users Repair Shops
Consists of: Field strength meter I-95-A
Signal generator I-96-A
crystal units, dynamotor units, headset, jack boxes etc

 

IE-17 Test equipment

Used for Radio set SCR-536
Principal users Sig.Co, Inf. Div, Inf. Regt, Sig. Depot Co., Sig. Rep. Co.
Consists of: antenna, instruction book, test case, test stand and test unit I-135

 

IE-19-A Test equipment

Used for Radio set SCR-624, AN/VRC-1
