After the success of the CANARINHO and the CURRUIRA we decide to made a transceiver with the minimum number of discrete components. This is the CURUMIM.
The idea started when I made the Curruira, since I was a boy I loved to make regenerative receivers (using valves), my preferred circuit was the Hartley that oscillated very well and I transformed it into transmitter eliminating a resistance that limited the current - and I learned that everything oscillates may transmit and also it receives.
I argued the idea with the PY2MG, our friend Gomes, who stimulated me to make a prototype
There are only 12 components! We assembly in two modules, we try some different audio circuits. But the audio amplifier using the LM386 was the best.
The assembly of the transmitter must be made in first place where the type of the employed crystal and the manufacturer of the transistor influences in the functioning and adjustments of polarization in the electrical resistance of 18k and in the value the capacitor of 120pF can be necessary.
Later that the transmitter will be functioning and tested, then incorporates the audio amplifier.
Donīt expects a great receiver, it is too far from a simple DC receiver, small gain, broad band and the full gain is over the audio amplifier.
The operation requires some practical therefore the reception has a very wide band and the transmission not.Donīt call CQ looks for to contest somebody.
I only made one contact with this transceiver, but it was difficult to copy all the QSO, despite that our friend PY2GQT, Luiz , distant about 180km, usually places a signal of 599 PLUS. In this sunday morning our friend was in QSO near 7030kHz and I was listening with the CURUMIM, so soon it finished the QSO... I initiated a CQ standard 3x3... and he contested me... with 559 a usual report for a Tx with power like the Curruira.

A idéia começou tão logo montei o Curruira, nos tempos de garoto eu costumava montar receptores regenerativos a válvulas, meu circuito preferido era o Hartley que oscilava muito bem e eu transformava ele em transmissor eliminando um resistor que limitava a corrente - e aprendi que tudo que oscila transmite e também recebe.

Montamos em dois módulos, experimentamos várias formas diferentes de alimentação do circuito de áudio bem como outros tipos de amplificadores. Mas o amplificador de áudio como LM386 foi o mais promissor.
A montagem do transmissor deve ser feita em primeiro lugar onde o tipo do cristal empregado e do fabricante do transistor influenciam no funcionamento e ajustes de polarização no resistor de 18k e no valor o capacitor de 120pF podem ser necessários.
Depois que o transmissor estiver funcionando e testado, incorpore o amplificador de áudio ... o rendimento do receptor é extremamente baixo, captando cerca de 5kHz da faixa, 2,5kHz para os dois lados da freqüência do cristal, sinais de estações locais.
A operação requer alguma prática pois a recepção tem uma faixa muito larga e a transmissão não. Não chame geral procure contestar alguém.
Fiz somente um contato com este transceptor, mas foi difícil copiar todo o cambio, apesar que o nosso colega o PY2GQT o Luiz lá de Araras, distante cerca de 180km, costumeiramente coloca um sinal de 599 + .
Em uma manhã de domingo o nosso amigo estava em QSO por volta de 7030kHz e eu estava copiando ele no CURUMIM, tão logo ele terminou o cambio ... iniciei um CQ padrão 3x3... e ele me contestou... com 559 uma reportagem costumeira para um Tx de potência como o Curruira.
