I have been into radio communications since around the age of 10 when I started with my first
27Mhz CB & 477Mhz UHF CB.
I started building electronic kits at around 12, then did some Courses in Electronic's when I was 16.
I obtained my RROCP (Restricted Radio Operators Certificate of Proficiency - in Radio Telephony)
When I was 16 as my parents took on a Limited Coast Marine Rescue station.
I still have a Limited Coast Marine Rescue Station in my home to this Day.
I am a member of WICEN SA (Wireless Institute Civil Emergency Network - South Australia)
