For most things, you should contact your own state in the first instance.

For those seeking to become radio amateurs,
and/or would like to know more about what the WIA has to offer.

Two free information packages are available from the above address.
These are:

1. WIA Membership Package.

This includes a pamphlet on amateur radio,
a membership application form,
a list of Divisional office bearers,
and a complimentary copy of Amateur Radio magazine.

Back issues of "AR" are available at $4 each
(including postage to members within Australia) until stocks run out.
When back issues are no longer available,
photocopies of articles are available to members at $2.50 each
(plus $2 for each additional issue in which the article appears).

2. Study Package.

This includes information on
obtaining past examination papers,
a list of accredited examiners,
a Novice Study Guide, a membership form,
ACA brochures and information on how to become a radio amateur.

Female enquirers also receive information on
the Australian Ladies Amateur Radio Association.

AMATEUR EXAMINATIONS

Amateur examinations are administered by the WIA Federal office,
and conducted by local accredited examiners.
These should be available on a regular basis.

In Western Australia at present,
we advise that prospective candidates make contact
with their local amateur radio group as listed in the clubs section
or phone the exam number on our information address page,
to check on the latest information.
