WIA SPONSORED AWARDS

Zone 29 Award from the WA Division

The WIA provides several attractive awards
which are available to all radio amateurs.
These are FREE to all WIA members,
other VK amateurs pay $5 Aust.
all others pay $5 US. or 8 IRCs.
WIA Award Rules are published in the Australian Call Book every year.
Other Awards are printed in "Amateur Radio" magazine on a regular basis.

WIA DXCC Award
The DXCC Honour Roll for worked all countries.

This award is available to all amateurs who submit evidence 
of having worked 100 countries and can be endorsed for various bands and modes.

Worked ALL VK Call Areas Award
VK applicants require 73 QSOs.
DX (non VK) require 22 QSOs
Heard ALL VK Call Areas Award
As above for SWLs with the same conditions.
Worked ALL VK Call Areas (VHF) Award
Requires 22 QSOs on VHF bands.
Worked ALL States (VHF) Award
Requires 8 QSOs on VHF bands (50 MHz and above), 
1 contact with each State and Territory of Australia.
Australian VHF Century Club Award
Requires 100 QSOs on VHF bands (50MHz and above).
WIA Antarctic Award
Applicants need to make ten confirmed contacts 
with amateur stations conducting valid operations from Antartica. 
The ten must include stations licenced by at least six different government authorities, 
and at least one must be a VK0.

Antarctica is the land mass, including islands and permanent ice shelf, 
below 60 degrees south latitude. 
(This excludes Heard and Macquarie Islands. These are sub-antarctic).

Only contacts on or after 23 February 1988 are valid for this award.

WIA Grid Square Award
Applicants require contacts with "Maidenhead" grid square locators
as indicated in the rules.
