Meetings
Meetings are held on the forth Monday of every month (except December)
Meetings usually start at 7:30pm, and finish at around 10:30pm.
At the Wireless Hill Museum, Meeting Room, Almondbury Road, Melville.

The aim of the group is to promote all activities of
an amateur radio nature in the spectrum above 50 MHz and beyond.

Meetings incorporate open and friendly discussion of many subjects
supported by displays and technical lectures from visitors and members.
Junk sales are provided from time to time to enable members
to forage and hoard to their hearts content.

A bi-monthly newsletter is provided to all members,
keeping them informed of the latest orbital data on satellites,
DX activities, material data, members equipment projects, etc..

Support is available from members on all aspects of amateur radio, amateur television,
satellite operation, construction and testing of equipment, and all types of aerials.

The Group also provides access to a number of popular kits
of various parts of pre-amps and transverters covering a range of bands,
to enable enthusiasts to construct state of the art equipment.

The Group builds and maintains beacons for VHF, UHF and SHF
which are used for propagation studies and as markers for DX activities.

Currently beacons in the 50, 144, 432, and 1296 bands
are provided in various locations throughout the State.

The Group includes those who are interested in satellite, moonbounce
and other exotic forms of communications on the bands above 50MHz.

Foxhunting  Discussion and Information on 'Fox Hunting' or
Amateur Radio Direction Finding (ARDF) in Western Australia

Radio "Foxhunting" a popular activity usually held monthly.
This involves concealing a transmitter and antenna and allowing the participants
to exercise their direction finding techniques,
to find the device in the shortest possible time.
The evening usually endes with a supper / barbecue at a member's home.
